SEAGRASS

The growth and conservation of seagrasses is important to us
and our community. Seagrasses provide many services to us and
other animals, as they:

We aim to grow our own seagrass in our facility's farms, helped by our leading scientists and
local farmers.

Posidonia australis, P. oceanica and Zostera noltii are just a few of the many seagrass species present on the
Australian coast. We aim to grow, conserve, and help these species in the name of making the world a better place.

OUR RESEARCH

We aim, in our research, to find solutions to problems such as improving estimates for global seagrass cover, and developing models for growth, development, and carbon sinks.

Seagrasses can help in our goal to mitigate climate change. You can find more of our research on this here.
