MITIGATING CLIMATE CHANGE
Our research aims, overall, to help mitigate climate change
through new seaweed farming methods and through production
of biofuels to reduce fossil fuel usage.
Our goal is to attempt to tackle climate change through our research, and
discover new ways to prevent the destruction of our environment.
Some of our goals include:
- Reducing seagrass meadow fragmentation
- Improving water quality
- Producing biofuels to reduce fossil fuel usage
- Treating wastewater with algae
- Sequester carbon using seagrass
As well as this, we aim to stay in concordance with the Paris agreement and sustainable development goal 13 to
prevent global temperatures from rising more than 1.5°C.
Global climate change is an issue on the worldwide scale. We hope that, with our research. we can build a way to a better future for everyone.
